Remote Worker

Indonesia Launches New Remote Worker Visa 2024

Great news for remote workers and digital nomads in Bali! Indonesia has now launched the Bali Remote Worker visa, also known as the E33G visa. With the new Bali Remote Worker Visa, you can stay in Indonesia while working for a non-Indonesian company remotely for up to 1 year and enjoy unlimited entry and exits, which means you can leave and return to Indonesia as many times as you like. You can also bring along eligible family members to stay with you in Indonesia for up to 1 year.

What Is Remote Working

A remote worker is simply someone who can work from anywhere without being physically present at a specific workplace or location. It is a working style that allows professionals to work outside of a traditional office environment. It refers to a person who is not required to be present in a physical office or a certain locality to fulfill their professional responsibilities.

As a remote worker in Bali, you would be an employee of an international company that is based outside of Indonesia. Please remember that the new Bali Remote Worker Visa is not a Work KITAS; you would still be forbidden to work with a local Indonesian company or an Indonesian-registered company on a Remote Worker Visa.

The Bali Remote Worker Visa is now open for application, so if you’re a remote worker or a digital nomad in Bali, take a look to see if you meet all the requirements below:
