According to this article by Indonesian Expat, the Bali Immigration Office will be monitoring the movement of foreigners in Bali on the island during the holidays.
The announcement was made by the Head of the Denpasar Immigration Office, Ridha Sah Putra, as a significant influx of foreigners in Bali are expected ahead of Christmas and New Year 2024/2025.
Putra also highlighted that immigration officers have been deployed to patrol and monitor popular destinations frequented by foreigners visiting Bali.
He said: “We have divided teams to monitor five districts and Denpasar City. One team is monitoring two work areas during the Christmas-New Year holiday.”
The Bali immigration office will be closely monitoring Ubud as it has been identified one of the areas with a high concentration of foreigners in Bali.
Locals have been urged to monitor the movement of foreigners in Bali staying in villas, hotels and homestays and to report any suspicious behavriour.
