Bali Visa Fees

Bali Visa Fees Increase: Everything You Need To Know

Planning to visit Bali in 2025? If so, be prepared for some changes in Bali visa fees. Starting in December 2024, Indonesia visa fees for Bali will either increase, decrease or remain the same depending on the length of stay, type, and category as announced by the Indonesian Immigration Office.

Foreigners coming to Bali can expect the adjustments in visa cost for Bali to affect a wide range of Bali visa categories, including but not limited to multiple entry visas, temporary stay permits (KITAS) and permanent stay permits (KITAP).

Let’s take a look at how you will be affected by the change in Bali visa fees and what you need to do to prepare.

How Much Does A Bali Visa Cost

Bali visa fees will change across several visa types but the good news is that select Bali tourist visa fees will remain the same. Do bear in mind though, outside of tourism, whether you’re coming to Bali for business, to study, to invest, or to retire, visa costs for Bali will increase in the new year, especially for KITAS and KITAP categories.

The following are Bali visa categories most impacted by the increase in Bali visa cost:

Temporary Visit Visas:

  1. Multiple Entry Business Visa
  2. Academic & Company Internship Visas
  3. Pre-Investment Visa
These visas, designed for short-term stays, will also see higher fees as part of the changes set to take effect by December 2024.

Temporary Stay Permits & Permanent Stay Permits: The price increase extend to KITAS & KITAP holders in all categories including:

  • Work KITAS (for foreigners employed in Bali)
  • Investor KITAS
  • Retirement KITAS
  • Spouse KITAS
  • Student KITAS
  • Duration of Stay: The price adjustments apply to all duration options, including:
  • 6-month visas
  • 12-month visas
  • 2-year visas

These changes mean that whether you’re staying for a few months or planning to settle in Bali long term, your Bali visa fees and Bali visa cost will arise.

Do take note that the cost for the 30-day tourist visa and Visa On Arrival has not changed.

Why Are Visa Prices Increasing?

The Indonesian government’s decision to adjust visa fees aligns with broader efforts to streamline immigration processes and increase revenue for Indonesia’s tourism and immigration sectors. These updates are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to manage international travel while balancing the needs of the local economy.
