A single entry Bali visa is exactly what the name states – it is a visa that allows you to enter Indonesia one time only. Once you leave the country, your visa is no longer valid, even if the visa has not expired. This means that if you leave Indonesia mid-trip, you will need to apply for a new visa to re-enter.
A single entry Bali visa is valid from 30-60 days, depending on which single entry Bali visa you’ve applied for. Here are the types of single entry visas available today:
- Visa on Arrival (e-VoA): Valid for 30 days, used for tourism, transit, or short business meetings. It can be extended once for another 30 days online (total 60 days).
- Visit/Tourist Visa (C1): A 60-day visa designed for extended tourism, cultural activities, or family visits. It can be extended twice, each time for 60 days, allowing a total stay of up to 180 days.
- Single Entry Business Visa (C2): Similar to the C1, but requires sponsorship from an Indonesian company. It is used for business meetings, negotiations, or procurement, but does not allow working in Indonesia.
- Other Specialized Visas (C-series): Includes, for example, the Journalist Visa or C10/C11 visas for event participants and exhibitors.

Multiple Entry Visa for Bali

It is ideal for long-term non-work activities, primarily for tourism or business meetings, and for a maximum stay of 60 days per visit. Here are the types of multiple entry visas available today:
- D1 Tourist Multiple Entry Visa: Designed for tourism, family visits, or social purposes. Valid for 1–5 years, it permits a 60-day stay per entry.
- D2 Business Multiple Entry Visa: Intended for business meetings, conferences, or negotiations. It requires a sponsor and allows 60 days per visit.
- D12 Pre-Investment Visa: A specific type for foreigners exploring investment opportunities, valid for 1-2 years.
Important: Holders of this visa are not permitted to work with an Indonesian or an Indonesian-registered company. Each visit is capped at 60 days. You are required to exit and re-enter Indonesia to start a new 60-day period.
